Common Misconceptions

Outside dealers won’t maintain the headstone after you purchase.

While this could be true for other companies, it is not for S.E. Texas Headstones.

We proudly offer a lifetime guarantee on any leaning, cracking, or otherwise shifting headstone and foundations.

They don’t pour a proper foundation.

We pour all foundations a minimum of 8” thick, 4 times the minimum thickness required by the concrete manufacture. All concrete is 3000 psi, pre-mixed thoroughly and poured by hand precisely. While sometimes mother nature has other plans, we strive to do the job right the first time. But if the concrete shifts, be it in 6 months or 6 years give us a call and we will be more than glad to re-level it.

Who is going to maintain the headstone when they go out of business?

We  have been in business for over 40 years and 3 generations. In fact many of the area funeral homes have been under their current ownership for a lesser time and most certainly under current management for a much lesser time. In short, we aren’t going any where. We live in the communities you do, send our kids to the same schools you do, shop at the grocery store alongside you, we are here for the long haul.

If the lawnmower or other equipment hits the headstone they won’t replace and the cemetery isn't liable.

This is a blatant lie. If the cemetery, their contractors, or staff  knowingly damage your headstone they are absolutely responsible for it.  We will fight for you to ensure you are treated fairly.

Their pricing doesn’t include all associated fees.

We ALWAYS give you the “out the door” price. Including price of granite, engraving, setting and any cemetery fees. In fact, funeral homes are notorious for having hidden fees not visible until the contract is issued. They do this because they know they cannot compete with our pricing so they want to mislead you to thinking they are offering a  lower price than what they actually can.

They don’t offer the same quality of granite as we do.

We only source our granite from the most reputable dealers that deal strictly in headstones. In fact, many local funeral homes have asked us or otherwise found out who our dealers were and inquired to use them.
